Chinooks are a very rare breed, with just 100-odd puppies born every year. We have been successful in keeping Chinooks from being exploited in puppy mills by relying on the help of individual Chinook owners. While all Chinooks are first and foremost family companions, some owners are able to keep a male intact or raise a litter. I provide as much help as is desired, including taking responsibility for finding homes for the puppies. Please contact me for more information and if you would consider helping to sustain the breed so there are happy, healthy Chinooks in the future.

Taavi is a 1st generation Chinook x Tamaskan Husky cross. He's part of the Chinook Breed Conservation Program. We have high hopes that Taavi and Raven will go on to produce puppies that will help the Chinook breed's overall health and gene pool.
Taavi is like most Chinooks, very sweet and always close to her and family. He loves children and sharing kisses with everyone. He's a great traveler and walker. Taavi is Finnish for Beloved, and is also one of the original dog "Chinook's" brothers. Rikki who was renamed Chinook, Tikki and Tavi.
Raven is smart, lovable and very devoted to her Mama . She lives in New York. The litter ( fingers crossed) will be raised in New York as a Blue Sky satellite litter.
Raven and Taavi can produce puppies that are tawny, buff ( cream colored) or agouti. The Agouti stems from the Tamaskan lineage. As you can see, Taavi is tawny and is almost a double for Sky and a few of her puppies, including a sister who will also be bred this Fall. Raven is indeed a dark beauty, but their combination of genes will not produce black and tan.
